Sophisticated Simpleton!

"I have come to terms with the future. From this day onward I will walk easy on the earth. Plant trees. Kill no living things. Live in harmony with all creatures. I will restore the earth where I am. Use no more of its resources than I need. And listen, listen to what it is telling me."
The words of M.J. Hooey are keys to the door of simplicity. I follow my truth and I become a simpleton; a planter of trees, a harmonic note of freedom, a pacifist that respects the life of all consciousness.
Leonardo DaVinci said: "Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication," and Donald Horban said: "We don't need to increase our goods nearly as much as we need to scale down our wants. Not wanting something is a good as possessing it."

Change is the only constant in physical life. I look around me and see dramatic changes in the world and in the hearts of my fellow humans. The earth is moving into another aspect of herself and I am moving with her. The change is not about what I want or even what I need; it's about awareness, its about connection, it's about unity within myself.

The news is filled with change; the economy, politics, religion, and how I perceive them is in a state of fluctuation. Banks are discovering that what they attracted, the greed that motivated their existence is manifesting into a nightmare of losses. Politicians are striving to find the common bond between truth and power and are beginning to understand that truth is power. Religions are opening their doors and accepting unity in all beliefs rather than segregated salvation. The economy is adjusting itself to need rather than want and we all are responding to its plea.

So here I am planting trees, singing the tune of free will, and not needing much to be happy. The change within me is contagious; it is the virus of awakening; the flu of adjustment; the fever to be a spirit grounded in the beauty of physical life and growing from each experience. Accepting everything, and expecting nothing I find myself where I forgot to look, within my thoughts. Thoughts of satisfaction, love and peace guide me through the simple life. I honor all consciousness and become a sophisticated simpleton who lives in abundance, appreciation and in unity with All There Is.
